How to Dress To Office

You must follow dress codes in your office. If you are confused with the clothes in your wardrobe, make sure you read this to understand the basic requirements for a working women’s wardrobe. Look professional and feel relaxed should be your ado. Make sure what you wear and what you portray looks even, otherwise you will become the latest gossip among your office colleagues.
A basic wardrobe must have one black trouser, shirts, blazers, leggings, formal jackets, skirts and business suits. Indian clothes like churidhar sets and saris can also be worn to office. If you want to dress up casually as it is mostly allowed on weekends, you can wear your jeans with a white tunic or a shirt.
Comfort is an important factor in your dressing. The clothes you wear should make you feel comfortable because you are going to spend most of your day in the office. Also there should not be any peepholes in the dress you wear. It gives the appearance that you are wearing your shirt one size smaller.  You should not wear clothes that are too tight or too loose. Ill fitted clothes could damage your reputation at work.
When you choose colors to office, make sure they are not candy colors. You can wear, blue, black, grey, brown and other pastel shades.  Avoid wearing fluorescent colors like fuchsia, lime green etc. as they will dazzle the onlooker. Mix and match colors to your handbag or to your shoes to create a perfect balance with your look.
Go simple on accessories when you dress up to office. A sleek watch and a delicate bracelet will do wonders to your outfit. Avoid wearing number of bangles or anything that makes noise. Do not wear dangling earrings, instead wear studs. Heavy necklaces can be avoided. You can wear delicate chain in your neck to give that elegant appearance. Basically you can wear minimum accessories to work. At the same time, make sure your other accessories like the shoes, belt, and foot wear are in sync with your outfit.
You must smell good as you will be a part of an atmosphere wherein colleagues will be seated closer to you. They should not be put off by bad odor. This does not mean you use a high end perfume, a deodorant or a mild perfume will be fine. Avoid wearing wrinkled clothes as this will destroy your image at workplace. Be trim and proper and you will command respect from others.
Dressing etiquettes is very important for your business as it can get you professional success. What you wear is what you reveal. Hence be choosy in wearing the right clothes to office. Do not dress up in a manner that shows you odd among others. If there is no dress code, observe your boss and the way he dresses up. This will give an indication of the clothes preferred in your workplace.
Avoid wearing mini skirts and low cut blouses to office. Bare back cholis, sleeveless clothes and slip on sandals should be avoided. Do not wear denim skirts and jeans. Plunging necklines and clinging skirts are best avoided. Also avoid wearing transparent and sheer fabrics to office.
Three looks that can never make you go wrong in your choice are as follows:-
1.     A black trouser or a pencil skirt with a white shirt. A Black Hand bag and ear studs.
2.     A churidhar set with a jute hand bag, earrings and thin necklace.
3.     A neatly ironed crisp sari with a simple blouse and a leather hand bag.
